The BBC promoted it’s latest 3 part series Dracula with a couple of very innovative billboards in London and Birmingham. The site included an emergency stake in case you happened to see the count observing the masterpiece as you will only get the full impact of the advert when the sun goes down.
This is not the first billboard that BBC Creative have designed. In November 2019 the BBC’s in-house marketing agency also created a billboard for His Dark Materials where the warrior polar bear seemed to be breathing in the cold night air.
Both of these created a big impact online as you would expect with lots of coverage, videos and blog articles like this one provided with thousands of views of the billboard on YouTube matched with numerous visits on news sites worldwide.
