Technology for Marketing and Advertising

A quick update from the technology for marketing and advertising show at Earls court. Seems to have been a very short two days, the sessions I have managed to attend have all been very interesting and as always I have learn’t a great deal.

The social networking session gave a lot of good quality examples of how services like Twitter can be used effectively to drive sales, provide advice and also deliver customer service support. An important message from the session was strategy and following objectives not just spamming sales messages or having a presence because it is expected.

The Google sessions I have attended have all been very interesting and it is great to see a human face connected with the internet giant. A few tips that I will be incorporating quickly, a few snipets of knowledge about systems and rumours along with a demo of some great new tools.

The CIM sessions were also very good the course leaders were talented, experienced and incredibly knowledgeable. I’m going to take a look at their new digital diploma as another tangible indication of expertise.

Over the next few weeks I’m hoping to go through each element of the event and sessions in more detail.
